I am Southern....can you tell? My favorite park in Sugar Land, Stafford, or Missouri City, Texas is Oyster Creek Park. I enjoy playing frisbee with my dad, watching the turtles sunbathe, and every once in a while a crocodile can be spotted in the creek. I heard a rumor once that an old man named the Aligator or Crocodile Al. He would feed him Sunkist oranges. If you ever see him, please let me know!
Routinely you can find families taking portraits, quisinera pictures being taken, brides in beautiful gowns, and couples smiling for their engagement pictures. A lovely fountain and man made river runs through the park. The rustling of the animals and flowing of water creates a relaxing spot after a stressful day at the office. There are also free barbeque pits and lots of families gather for birthday parties and reunions. Churches often have services at the Creek and you will likely see group aerobics classes. A trail connects Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land to Lost Creek Park in Sugar Land. Oyster Creek park is walker and runner friendly. Also, bikes are welcome, but please do not bring electric scooters unless you have a disability.
Here is a great link to the information for this great Sugar Land park....
